Debbie Hogan, Executive Director

Debbie has a Masters in Counselling and an Advanced Certificate in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. She is in Private Practice and has over 26 years experience as a therapist, trainer and coach. She works with families, couples and individuals, and sees children and adolescents with a variety of issues. She conducts training for local and international schools. Debbie is an EAP provider for several multi-national companies and provides coaching and conducts training. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist, and a Certified Solution Focused Coach. She is a Clinical Supervisor and Appointed Associate Examiner with the CCPC. Debbie is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Academy of Solution Focused Training Pte Ltd and conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore and the region.

Dave Hogan, Director

Dave has a Masters in Theology and is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and the American Academy of Religion. He has over 26 years experience as a Pastoral Counsellor and Religious Educator and specializes in Leadership Development, Career Guidance and Personal Development. Dave is a trainer and qualified user of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and conducts workshops for organizations in Team Building, Leadership Coaching, Career Development and Change Management. He is a passionate trainer and motivator and brings his humor and wit into his training. He is a resource speaker and presenter for the Centre for Fathering and conducts workshops in Marriage Enrichment and Parenting. Dave is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist, a Certified Solution Focused Coach, and an Approved Supervisor with the CCPC. He is a director of the Academy of Solution Focused Training Pte Ltd and conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore and the region.

David Blakely, Associate Trainer, Supervisor (CCPC)
M.A., NCC, CGAC, Certified Solution Focused Therapist

David has a Bachelors in Criminal Justice, a Masters in Counselling, is a Certified Gambling Addictions Counsellor and is a National Certified Counsellor with the National Board of Certified Counsellors. He works as a Marriage and Family Therapist for Wesley Methodist Church. He has over 13 years experience as a therapist and trainer and currently serves as President of the Singapore Association for Counselling. David is a Certified Social Work Supervisor and has published “Establishing the Building Blocks: A Few Ideas at Increased Effectiveness with Men in Counselling” and “Hedges and Edges: A Compendium for Social Workers, Counsellors and Family Therapists.” His areas of expertise include working with individuals, families and couples in school based counselliing, career guidance and various testing instruments. David is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Appointed Supervisor with the CCPC. He conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore.

Edwin Choy, Associate Trainer, Supervsor

Edwin has a Masters in Theology, a Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy and has over 20 years experience as a trainer and pastoral counselor. He is a qualified trainer with the National Center for Fathering in the US and co-founder and Director of the Centre for Fathering in Singapore. He conducts workshops in Preparing for Marriage, Marriage Enrichment, Parenting, Fathering and Work-Life Balance He has also been a pioneer in designing outdoor adventure camps for father-child bonding. Edwin is a qualified user and trainer in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, PREP and Couples Communication I & II. He has a Graduate Certificate in Parent Education Leadership Training and is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Supervisor with the CCPC. He works with schools in the WOWW program.

Alan Yeo, Associate Trainer, Supervisor

Alan has a Masters in Experimental Psychology and a Masters in Education with over 15 years experience as a therapist, trainer and lecturer. He holds a Specialist Diploma in Counseling and Guidance, a Post Graduate Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and a Certificate in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. He is in Private Practice and works with families, couples and individuals. Alan is a lecturer and clinical supervisor for several universities and graduate programmes. He is member of the Films Consultative Panel, appointed by MICA, and appointed Family Life Ambassador by MCYS. Alan is Editorial Consultant for LIME teen magazine and co-authored a 2-year MCYS-funded research project on “Abused Children.” He is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Certified Solution Focused Coach and is an Approved Supervisor with the CCPC. He conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore.
