What is the difference between Solution Focused Brief Therapy and other approaches?
The solution focused approach offers an important alternative to the traditional problem solving approaches. Solution Focused practitioners listen for client strengths and capabilities that highlight their competence toward solving their problems, rather than listen for deficits or reasons for their difficulties. The focus of the session is on what the client wants to be different or to change and small, workable steps towards their desired state. Traditional therapy looks at the past for reasons for the problem or for patterns that create the current situation. Solution Focused practitioners look at the past to identify exceptions to when the problem could have occurred and didnĄŻt and when the client has been successful.

Why is Coaching gaining in popularity?
Coaching has burst upon the scene because personal growth is hot and diagnosis is not. People see the value of having a professional coach who can assist them in designing their future ¨C rather than getting over the past. Life Coaching has evolved from the blending of the fields of counselling, consulting, organizational development, human potential training, and performance coaching.

What is Solution Focused Coaching?
Solution Focused Coaching is a collaborative partnership focused on helping clients reach their desired goals. This is done by identifying the desired future, identifying clientĄŻs existing competencies and times they have been successful, and helping the client build on these successes by developing small workable steps toward the desired outcome.
